Is gaming causing you to procrastinate?

Many times before I found myself in the same predicament you might have been in before you read this whole article. I was an extreme procrastinator, I had so much time on my hands that I resorted to procrastination because it gave instant gratification and didn't weigh me down in the moment. Now I see that this exact thing was dragging me into a hole that would be harder and harder to get out of the farther I went. So here my list of ways to stop procrastinating.
First, I'd like to announce that everyone procrastinates but those that know and see it as a problem are the ones that will do something about it and change their life around. Mel Robbins uses and talks about here Five-second rule. An example she uses is when she describes here bed as comfy, too comfy. When her alarm went off she would count to Five in her head and when she got to five she would get out her bed and start her day. I understand that this is a website all about gaming and news around gaming but procrastination is a problem with many gamers as some unfortunate stories in my life have been a loss of a job or avoidance of family so please take my advice and don't mess your whole life up because you wanted a dub in Fortnite.
My next point is saying that you should literally just drop it right there right now. There is no explanation for what I just said. It's explicit, drop that controller or unplug that PC and do what your mom told you to do, go out and accomplish that goal that you've been putting g off for the last month. Time waits for absolutely no one, I started writing blogs because I told myself I needed to do something, I realize (and it's about time you realized this too) that I have so much free time.
Waking up early also will allow you to take initiative and get stuff done, well, hopefully. I say that because nobody gets up early to play games unless it's their profession and if that's your profession then go ahead wake up early and practice you no-scope skills. But I know that's not your profession because you're reading a blog about how to stop procrastinating! When you get up the first thing you should do is jump on the first thing that you've put off.
Identify what needs to be done. Many people just skip this or don't do this entirely, you have to identify what you're slacking off on and if you've got ten things to do at one time then this isn't a step that you should take for granted. IF you have stuck to all the aforementioned points then waking up first thing in the morning to write a list is an easy task for you (seriously, write a list) and when you come home from work or anywhere you are during your day, get to doing those things you wrote down that morning.
Before I leave off, I want to announce that this post took way longer than what it should have to write (a bit ironic huh?) I had been wanting to take a break from the blog for a few weeks. Then I took a vacation with my family which turned out to be way longer than expected and that was really the reason behind this hiatus. But I also want to announce that I'll take a month off soon for a very special upcoming blog.
