Battle royals are gruesome games which players drop into solo or with other people and fight to the last ounce of breath. But, there is a new battle royale that is taking the gaming market by storm, it's name: Apex Legends.
Apex Legends isn't just any battle royale, no its way better than Fortnite, PUBG, anything for that matter. Apex legends is a Titanfall spin-off into a battle royale. It holds the simple aspects of the genre with a zone, a ship of some sort to drop out of, and the fight-till-the-end game scenario. Only this time it brings a lot more to the table, as a matter of fact I don't think it can be compared to anything like today, it raises the bar beyond mainstream BR games today.

When you first press that "READY" button in the Apex lobby you'll quickly find yourself traverse a few loading screens and then finally get to a menu. In this menu you'll be able to choose 6 out of 8 players (two of which must be bought with in-game currency) or Legends that each have 3 unique abilities from clue finding used with bloodhound to calling in air strikes from Bangalore. You and a two other players will be dropping into the map soon so you best choose wisely, as the abilities and your skills are the only thing that will help you out in the battle.
Guns are you priority, next to staying alive, guns are the best way to ward off enemies and get rid of them so you'll need to find one quick. The easiest way to do this is to drop at a house or building, there you can items, but not always a gun. At the start of the round it doesn't matter what gun you have just use it and please under no circumstances have 2 guns wit the same ammo type because you'll be pinging your teammates for light ammo to many times throughout a match...DON'T BE THAT PERSON! In experience the worst guns out there are the Mozambique, and well yeah that's about it, you could say the P2020 is a bad weapon but it is better than the Mozambique. If you ever come across this at the start of the round (the Mozambique) pick it up but stay alert for any other weapon as it is literally better than it. Now in later updates I know this will be false but for now, in the first update (season), the Mozambique is a failure of a gun that Respawn Entertainment (the developing company for Apex Legends) needs to either A: get rid off entirely or B: Nerf.
Before you drop there are a few things that every beginning player must know. The place on the map that is highlighted in blue (this "blue" will be more like a beam before you drop) has the best loot be cautious if you plan on landing there. If you do decide to land at this hotspot location one thing you should know is that before you land melee the second before you hit the ground as this will result in no reaction or cooldown and you'll have a second to be ahead of everyone else that doesn't use this tip. When you get a weapon make sure you check your surroundings some legends abilities will make them more silent so like i have said to other people before "use them, they are a complete game changer and are there to help you win more battles" this does take some getting used to if you aren't a BR junkie like me.

That's about it that needs to be covered for those beginners that are looking to play, but as a little note to add. Apex packs (Apex's version of loot boxes" give cosmetics for your legends use them to decorate your character and give them a line upon death. Heirlooms are the rarest in the Apex packs and as of right now thy are only for Wraith though so sorry if you're not a Wraith main Respawn will be adding some more for other Legends.
