The Company That is Doing The Unthinkable in 2019

There comes a time in the gaming industry when something new comes out and it completely shocks everyone. This is what Google has done with there upcoming Google Stadia. Stadia seems so revolutionary that it at the same time it feels impossible, with every new MAJOR detail Stadia will solve every aspect in gaming that was once more like a manual laboring task than just wanting to know how to complete a level.

Google showcased this new project they've been working on in March of this year. Stadia will be a new gaming platform that beats anything like PS4 or XBOX by allowing people to play games within their browsers. A few games early on that will support this are Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Doom Eternal. This feature will be seen after you watch someone play a game or talk about a game as the topic of its video, say for instance: Odyssey. After the video has ended you will see a "Play Now" button and when you press it redirects you to the game within seconds into your browser. Honestly, this is something I haven't thought would help or be really an option at any time in life as, well it seeming impossible.

Another thing showcased was the Stadia controller, a new state of the ark controller made just by ours truly. I mean, just look at it above, it's sleek, funky, and pleasing to look at. You may notice an addition to the controller that you've never seen on any controller before, and that's true, some new additional buttons are present. The first, a capture button which shares your moment to YouTube allowing anyone to see it. The second, Google assistant. That's right an all-new button for an all-new purpose, this button, once pressed will use the built-in microphone to listen to what you ask whether that be "How do I get passed this level?" or "I love you!" although the latter may seem a bit extra. There is also a hidden feature inside this controller, something that sets it off completely than any device: WiFi transmission. The Stadia controller will use WiFi to connect to the screen you want to play on. This is done by the hardware in the controller to know which screen has a game open or being played on it.

Stadia, being a platform, will also be used for developers. But the one thing that was a big realization was the vision to expand AI and Machine learning (ML) through the artist within people. Google has done this by allowing for AI to use any piece of art and transfer that into the game itself. This allows for unseen data to appear to the developers without them having to find everything and go through everything to know just exactly what a problem might be or potentially be.

For myself, i'm all ears on this project because it revolutionizes gaming forever and to be really honest I can see that gaming can only get better from here. Hopefully Google doesn't step out on this project like it has with others (not going to say what's on my mind there) and Stadia solve a bunch of problems that we gamers have like having to log out of a game to see what to do or problems that developers might have. Either way I can't stress how much this project will be unique and helpful.
